I shot this way back in 2012 and I never got around to properly making a post to show the photos. I brought the clothing myself , most of the styling was vintage mixed in with "modern" pieces. This was the first shoot I did with my 85mm 1.2 so it got to test it out and was really impressed. It does take quite its time to focus , but its overall sharp as a tack but creates a soft effect as well.

I was thinking of purchasing the 50mm 1.2 but opted for the 85mm instead to give this focal length a try. We shot these photos in a gorgeous park with a small river running down through it and lots of wild grass and vines everywhere. I wanted to keep the styling very soft and girly , I bought a wreath of tinsel for the headband and lots of lingerie pieces in pinks, beige and lacy details.

I shot these photos back in late August and finally got a chance to finally show them. Our concept was based around Marie Antoinette but a bit more fun. We started off the looks quite girly and prim and gradually turned the looks a little bit more grunge. For hair and makeup we went with an dusty light pink hair, that looks somewhat purple in photos. Makeup flushed cheeks, long lashes and rosy lips. Definitely one of my favorite concepts, I cant help but gravitate towards girlish and colorful editorials. Happy 2013 everyone!!.

Its almost time for Christmas! Everyone's favorite time of the year, including mine. I decided to take a few pictures of our Christmas tree and decorations before they once again go back in hiding till next year. We usually put up our Christmas things around November to elongate the Christmas feeling, if that makes any sense. Since taking these the gifts have filled up more and more sugar cookies have been made. I think probably my favorite part of Christmas is to drive around and see all the beautiful lit up houses, its impossible to feel sad when everything is glitter, since well, I love glitter.
